The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce invites members to submit proposals to present as speakers, panelists, or facilitators for our 2026 professional development and community insight events, such as Lunch & Learns, Eggs & Issues, Small Business Workshops, and Webinars. We are looking for engaging, knowledgeable presenters who can offer practical insights, timely expertise, and thought-provoking discussion for our region’s business and civic leaders.

We would particularly invite proposals that cover or incorporate topics such as those listed below, but will also accept and review other topic suggestions. RFP submissions should include your name, the name of your business, the chosen topic, a brief overview of what you would present, and how you experience or expertise relates to the topic. Please also indicate your willingness to be included in other opportunities as they relate back to the Chamber and our programming.

We aim to feature Chamber members as much as possible. These are not paid speaking roles, but provide the opportunity to share your knowledge, elevate your business, and give back to the local community, while building brand awareness and expertise recognition.

Eggs & Issues

Our Eggs & Issues series focuses primarily on Community Interest topics, and primarily are comprised of presentations with a moderated panel. Those submitting proposals for Eggs & Issues should be prepared that they would be submitting to be a panelist for one of our pre-determined topics for the following year. Eggs & Issues is a morning meeting, panelists should arrive at 8am to our venue, and be prepared to stay through the program concludes at 9:30am.

Our topics for the coming year include: Economic DevelopmentHousing & TownsBuilding Healthier CommunitiesSports & Tourism in the NRVInfrastructure in the NRVThe Future of Regional LeadershipRole of Higher Education in Community Development; and Building a Resilient Workforce.

Lunch & Learn

Our Lunch & Learn series are primarily Business Owner & Leader focused topics, with a focus on providing information that can be implemented as soon as the program ends. Those submitting proposals for Lunch & Learns should be prepared that they could be asked to be a panelist or a solo presenter for one of the suggested topics listed below. Lunch & Learns take place at lunch time, are held at a member location, and presenters should be prepared to arrive by 11:15am, and stay through the program completion at 1pm.

Small Business Workshops

Our Small Business Workshop series are primarily Small Business focused, with hands on participation or round table discussion opportunities included with the presentation Those submitting proposals for Small Business Workshops should be prepared to solo present and run a workshop that revolves around one of the suggested topics listed below. Small Business Workshops are morning held meetings, and have both an in-person and virtual element. Presenters should arrive by 8:45am and be prepared to stay through completion at 10:30am.

Our preferred and suggested topics for the coming year include: Building a Sales Strategy & Referral Network.

Solopreneur Webinars

Our Solopreneur Webinar series are primarily Small Business related topics for Single Person owned and led businesses or organizations. These new events are fully virtual offerings. Those submitting proposals for Solopreneur Webinars should be prepared that they will be helping us re-launch this style programming, and would be solo presenting through a fully virtual platform such as Zoom. Solopreneur Webinars will be held on Monday mornings, and presenters should be prepared to be ready and online by 9:45am through program completion at 11am.

LNRV

The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce is seeking experienced and dynamic speakers for our Leadership NRV 2026 program. This program consists of an Opening Session, eight monthly sessions starting in March 2026, a Closing Retreat, and Graduation Ceremony.

We are looking for speakers who can deliver engaging, interactive presentations that align with the monthly session themes while tying leadership and personal development concepts to real-world community impact. Presentations should demonstrate how strong leadership contributes to positive change in the New River Valley and connect directly to each session’s focus area.
