Minority-Owned Business Membership Raffle
Since 2024, The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce partners with Carter Bank, to award complimentary chamber memberships to four minority-owned businesses. In a continuing effort to celebrate diversity, support and engage minorities in business and provide opportunity in underserved communities, Carter Bank is sponsors the cost of one year’s membership dues for four Montgomery County and Radford City area businesses that are at least 51 percent owned by a minority. The selected business owners and their employees will have full access to all benefits of chamber membership, including a listing in the business directory, online job postings, discounts through money-saving programs, and access to networking events and education classes.
To qualify, businesses must be 51 percent or more owned by a minority, marginalized or underrepresented demographic such as: Black or African American, Hispanic, Native American, Asian-Pacific, Subcontinent Asian, woman, veteran or disabled person. In addition, the business must be located in Montgomery County or Radford City, legally operating for at least one month and cannot be current members with the chamber.
