About Steve:
Steve joined the Chamber staff in December 2021 after retiring from state employment with Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control’s Bureau of Law Enforcement. There he served as the Special Agent in Charge of the Southwest portion of the state. While serving in that role Steve assisted retail establishments in obtaining alcohol licenses and promoted growth in the business community. His goal is to ensure the members of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce have the resources and training needed to succeed. About Marissa:
A former educator and coach for nine years in both Virginia and South Carolina, Marissa joined the Chamber as the Sales and Membership Director in October 2022. Marissa grew up in the New River Valley and is passionate about helping individuals and businesses succeed. She advocates for our local community through Chamber resources to benefit the economy. She is the point of contact for sales, membership, events, and sponsorships through the Chamber. About Alan:
With nearly a decade of experiences in marketing, production, and customer service, Alan joined the Chamber as the Marketing & Communications Coordinator in August of 2023. Alan moved to the New River Valley, along with his wife Rachel, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and decided to set down roots after discovering the passionate community that exists in Montgomery County. Alan has a deep dedication to the community, and spends a lot of time volunteering and supporting others in the business community. His goal is to help businesses of all sizes utilize their marketing channels to the best of their ability, and to help see the area continue to grow. About Lauren English:
Lauren English, from Delaware, Ohio, joined the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce in September 2024. She is currently studying public relations and event and experience management at Virginia Tech. In her free time, Lauren enjoys running and exploring the Blacksburg and Christiansburg areas, whether outdoors or visiting local shops and restaurants. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in public relations.

About McKenna:
McKenna Campbell was born in Williamsburg, VA and graduated from Lafayette High School in 2020. Throughout high school, she enjoyed both varsity and competition cheerleading. McKenna currently studies at Virginia Tech, where she is pursuing a double major in Hospitality & Tourism Management and Real Estate. During her free time, McKenna enjoys participating in events held by her sorority, Chi Omega. During the summer of 2023, McKenna had the opportunity of being the Membership Intern for the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce. McKenna’s email address is m.campbell@montgomerycc.org.

Ephratha is a current senior studying Exercise & Health Science at Virginia Tech. During her free time Ephratha enjoys giving back to her Blacksburg community through involvement in Big Event and is a Hokie Ambassador. In the future, Ephratha plans on pursuing different roles in the healthcare fields.

2025 Board of Directors Nominees
Below are the names of the 2025 Board of Director nominees that were approved by the Board. Additional candidates can be nominated by petition bearing the genuine signatures of at least ten members in good standing with the Chamber. Such petition shall be filed with the Executive Committee within ten days after notice, ending on October 6th. If no petitions are received within the designated 10 day period the nomination shall be closed, and the nominated slate of candidates shall be elected.
