Movie based on the award-winning novel by Afghan-American author, Khaled Houssein. The story begins in 1970s Afghanistan and follows Amir's life through his migration to Pakistan and then on to the United States. After becoming a successful novelist in California, Amir is forced to confront his guilt about his childhood betrayal of a friend as he makes a return trip to Pakistan to set things right. [2hrs]
