Leadership Alumni Program: Navigating Negotiations
Leadership NRV does not end at graduation. Effective leaders continue to learn, develop and grow and it is so much fun to do this with people we know. The alumni series gives us the opportunity to learn and grow while networking and catching up with our fellow classmates.
Our first program in the 2020 Alumni Series is on Negotiations. Negotiation skills are essential in life!
Whether you are selling your business, buying a house, buying a car, or negotiating where to have dinner tonight, we can all learn something about the process. Some times we only need to have a refresher to do our jobs better. Some basics in negotiations are:
- Know what you are trying to accomplish.
- Develop a game plan before the negotiations start.
- Study and understand your counterpart.
- Work towards a win-win.
- Avoid negotiating with yourself.
- Remember that it takes two parties to negotiate or renegotiate a deal
We guarantee that in this short program, you will walk away with one improvement to your tool box.
