Community Conversation: COVID-19
THIS PROGRAM IS AT CAPACITY.
Join us on Thursday, April 9th from 7:30 – 9:20am for a Community Conversation on Zoom on COVID-19 and our local community. Our local leaders will speak to this topic. Those confirmed are Dr. Noelle Bissell, Health Director of the New River Health District; Mike Barber, Mayor of Christiansburg; Randy Wingfield, Town Manager of Christiansburg; Stephen Chandler, Chief Operating Officer at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery; and Anthony Grafsky Senior Director of Clinical Operations at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center; and Steve Fijalkowski, Chair of The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors. Those invited but not yet confirmed are Leslie Hagar-Smith, Mayor of Blacksburg; and Marc Verneil, Town Manager of Blacksburg. This event will be moderated by Kevin Byrd Board Member and Executive Director of the New River Valley Regional Commission.
At a time like this it is important that we, as a community, stand together. In spirit, this program is jointly sponsored by the Chamber, The Office of Tourism, Downtown Blacksburg Inc., Downtown Christiansburg Inc., The Town of Blacksburg, The Town of Christiansburg, The Virginia Tech Office of Economic Development, The New River Valley Regional Commission, and the Corporate Research Center.
